What's In That Jacket?

Hey People,

Another quick post about a card I finished this morning. Got late for office and had the manager looking for me :) Anyways, I created this highly customized card for a friend who wanted to give it to his brother.

Its easy to make a card for a girl. There are tons of ideas to pick from. But for a masculine card you need to think REALLLLLY hard!

So after much thinking, this is what I came out with:

Card Design: #A0018 Selling for: Rs.300/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

You can undo the lacing and read what's written inside. You can do a lot more. But this is what I managed to get fixed in the time i had. I bought some embroidery black thread and stitched up the edges. Simple running stitch but it makes it a whole lot attractive.

You can change what's in the pocket if giving it to your dad. You can change the colour to Olive Green. I love Olive Green but I used Brown instead and you would know why if you have read my previous post.

So, let me know what you think.. See you next week with some more cards. BBye :)

Party Time!

Hello Everyone!

Here is something I made yesterday. Its a party themed Birthday card.
Used some colorful paper to make it lively and cheerful.

You can use some bright colored paper for the background instead of the brown colored one I used. I'am shifting base next week so am trying to finish whatever supplies I have. Don't want to buy more as then I have to cart more stuff. So I have a lot of this brown paper which I want to finish off.
It looks nice too.

Here's how it looks:

Card Design: #A0017 Selling for: Rs.60/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

It's an easy to make card. Attractive too. Here is the happy birthday cutout:

Have fun making this..
Posting another card soon. Bye!

The Weaver.

Hello Everyone,

I learnt how to weave! Yeah. Take a look at my new card where I weaved the background with quilling paper. Kept the rest of the design pretty light so that the weaved background forms the centerpiece of the card.

So here it is:

Card Design: #A0016 Selling for: Rs.150/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

The inside:

Let me know what you think of it.
In the meanwhile I'll be thinking of other new designs.. See you soon, Bye!

Twin Card.

Hello Everyone,

I got another one made just like the last post with just minor changes. With this card ends my precious lace supplies and I'am gonna hop around town trying to get more of them.

So here's what I got made:

Card Design: #A0015 Selling for: Rs.250/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)
I'am actually starting to find a new joy in photography :D So here are more pics of the card:

Hope you like it. Bbye.. See you all soon with something different (vintage ofcourse, call me old-fashioned but I really love the vintage look)...

Rusty,Chipped,Weathered = Vintage!!!

Hello Everyone,

I'am back after a long break. I have fallen a little for these Vintage craft pieces and thought of doing something myself. So, I have an Aunt in Bombay (using the old name to make this post vintagy :)) who is going to celebrate her 70th (!!) birthday next week. I had to post this in time for it to reach and hurried up with whatever supplies I had.
Here's what I got made:

Card Design: #A0015 Selling for: Rs.250/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

Here's a closer look at the shabby chic flower I recently learnt to make. They add a whole lot of beauty to projects and you can even use it to make headgear embellishments and stuff like that.

Hope you guys liked it.. Getting another vintage card made. Same color theme but a different design.
See you soon!

Sugar and Spice..and All That's Nice

Hi Everyone!

A quick post again. A recent card which I made in office :P Had to deliver this in a day so I had practically no other options. I had brought just the minimum supplies but it came out real pretty.
Here it is:

Card Design: #A0014 Selling for: Rs.200/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

Hope you all like this :) Tell me if you do... Please leave your comments below.

Quilling yet Again!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you have not gone bored of my quilling spree. But here I go again with the same design basically but more detailing. Here, have a look:

Card Design: #A0013  Selling for: Rs.250/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)
Notice the bead work done and the lace on the butterfly. There are new additions! Also the flower design is what I learnt recently.

I try to make the color combination as fresh and lovely as I can. Most of my time goes doing just that!
Let me know how it looks by leaving your comments below. Thanks Everyone! Hope you love what I do...

See you soon!

A slice of Vintage...

Hello Everyone!!

I had been away for a while.. but back with something new :)
Tried my hands at something vintagy and this is what came out:

Card Design: #A0012  Selling for: Rs.400/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

I recently learnt how to make paper roses. Actually different kinds of them. And you can see how pasting a few of them can make a whole lot of difference.

I bought a piece of this beautiful pink fabric from a local store here and stitched together a tiny dress. Pretty and sweet it snatches all the attention! A liberal use of distress ink and its done.

The wire hanger adds a nice detail there apart from contributing the vintage effect. I spent a lot of time deciding the color combination for this particular card.
A friend from Mumbai had ordered this and wanted it for someone who was interested in dressing up and stuff so I thought why not make a dress card and so the idea!

Let me know what you think of it. Please leave your comments, ideas, suggestions below.
Bbye!

Like a Sunflower

Hi Readers,

Here is one of my favorite creations.
A quilled Sunflower.

Card Design: #A0011  Selling for: Rs.190/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)
Yes, it took a lot of patience to finally get this done.  I used two colours for the petals to give it a shadow effect. Used distress inks to tone the edges as well as the paper surfaces and also for the embelllishments.

This ones a simple one but sure to amaze. Tell me how you feel about it by leaving your comments below.

Quilling Time Again :)

Hi Readers,

Good to see you all again. I have another quilling card for you. A bit like the other one I posted a while back but with a difference if you look closely.

Card Design: #A0010  Selling for: Rs.200/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

The big flowers are made with a snowflake like structure. Have again used shaded quilling paper to produce this. Have also used buttons for the butterfly to make it look different and stylish.

The leaves are made with 3mm strips while the rest with 5mm strips. Used Tim Holtz distress inks for the 'Happy Anniversary' embellishments.

Hope you liked this.  Please leave your comments below. Or any suggestions.

Coming up next is a Quilled Sunflower. So, keep tuned :)

Love is All You Need 😍

Hi Readers,

Valentine's day is far gone but you can show your love any day by gifting that someone special a card like this:
Card Design: #A0009 , Selling for: Rs.180/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

This card has a fun folding technique. It is a four fold card.
Using different folding techniques we make simple cards also fun. I recently added a frond punch to my supplies collection. But except for that everything else is cut out by hand (and a pair of scissors, ofcourse!). A great color combination is required to make this really awesome.

Also wen you open the first two fold you reach this cute little layer. A bit of a surprise. Untie the ribbon and find out what's awaiting you!

And here you go!

You are free to decorate the side and the bottom flaps too.
Let me know how you feel about this by leaving your comments below.

Special thanks to my friend Sanjukta who clicked these snaps for me!

See you all soon!

Mom's the word!

Hi Readers,

Here is a what I got fixed up early this morning for my friend who ordered it for her mother.
Add a crimped border for more detailing. It really stands out.
The flowers are handmade though they are easily available to buy too.

Card Design: #A0008  Selling for: Rs.160/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

A side view:

Here is a close up of the handmade rose. I have tinted it with one of the pink pigments I recently purchased. Also notice the difference the crimped border makes!

You can also have flowers like these :

Have used distress inks at the edges of the petals.

Its really easy to make and takes just an hour if you've already figured out the design beforehand. Make a bunch of these flowers and keep ready. Tint them in the end just before using them when you've decided what color you want them to be.

So wait for my next post. Please leave your comments below.
Happy crafting :)

Beginner's Luck...

A quick post here for a simple quilled card. One of my first ever tries with Quilling.

Card Design: #A0007  Selling for: Rs.70/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

The leaves are made using the quilling comb.
I bought this Happy Birthday stamp recently. It works well for these smaller cards.
An intelligent choice of colors and this is what you get.

Again a simple yet attractive design.

Flowers and Ferns

Welcome back :)
Today I have for you another quilling project. Its one of my favourites.
Had got this together just in time for my Mom and Dad's Anniversary.
They thoroughly loved it. It takes a bit of time though and a lot of patience.
So here it is... Clap. Clap.

Card Design: #A0006  Selling for: Rs.250/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

Hope you loved it too. The butterfly is textured though the Burnt paper technique.
You should have seen the face of the shopkeeper when I asked him for a cigarette lighter at a local tea shop nearby :)
A little bit of beads and a 'Happy Anniversary' embellishment and we are done.

Again with a little supplies we can see this through.
Show some love by leaving your comments below.
Hop by later for newer posts.

The Quilling Recipe.

Oh, what joy it is to know the art of Quilling!

Card Design: #A0005  Selling for: Rs.100/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

This was my first quilled card. Made this for a friend who wanted to gift it to his girlfriend. Have heard their hearts got quilled together after she saw this card :D
Ok, so quilling is a great way to add more depth to your work. It beautifies the whole thing and looks elegant too.

I bordered the card with thin rope to make a difference. Again bare minimum supplies and a great outcome.

Quill with shaded quilling paper to make more detailed flowers, leaves or anything. Almost all shapes of anything can be quilled. Just get your quilling kit and roll!!

Have fun quilling!

Doctor's Presciption....

I know we all hate doctors. They just want you to keep coming to them :D So to please them so that they don't sell my soul while they sell their own, I got down to making a doctor themed card.
Here is how it looks:

Card Design: #A0004 Selling for: Rs.200/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

I have added the medical logo for greater detail. Also don't miss the tie which I learnt from Origami.
A bit of cutting, scoring and clipping in the right areas, and Bingo! you have a complete doctor's suit (without the pants of course :)).

Right after I made this it got sold to a close friend who gave it to her doctor friend. I also wrote in the name on the name tag beside the logo for a more customised look.

Awaiting your comments as usual.

All in a Day's Work!

Hi Everyone!

I still remember the day I made this card. I was totally fagged out after a gruelling day at work. Bosses will be bosses 😖. I just had to finish this one as I had to deliver it the next day or the same day it was already past 12 pm!! I have never let down my clients (that Customers are Kings concept) and so I stayed up making this card. But with craft I can never feel the time pass and soon I had this card ready:

Card design: #A0003 Selling for: Rs.250/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

It opens like this:

Except for the flowers in the window and the Happy Birthday sticker, everything is made with just great papers and a great pair of scissors. The bare minimum!

Another angle where you can see my handmade embellishments:

I used printed paper for the curtains. Actually the window background should have been blue but I ran out of that color paper :p Maybe there was a thunderstorm or something so the sky turned green :D Then I used wool (Fun fact: I also knit) and made the little saying get more attention by making it stand out using double sided tape. Also I' am getting to be a great fan of these distress inks. What a discovery I made! They add a great amount of detail to your work.

So again a very simple and cost effective design. Please leave your comments below. I really look forward to them.

Daddy's Girl Recipe :)

Card Design: #A0002  Selling for: Rs.190/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

Hello Everyone!!

I made this card for my Dad for his Birthday. He just loves his tools. On his day off you can find him repairing an ill iron box or even rewiring the house, despite my mom's frantic screams!! Since I was born I have never seen a plumber or an electrician enter my home. My Dad was our household hero!!

So then I thought of this idea. If you have dies of these tools it becomes way easier. But since I don't (the Big Shot is way bigger than my salary :)) so I simply cut them out of my cardstock base. These tools move. I used brads to attach them to the base.

The highlight though is of this wood textured paper which I found online. Also a local shop had these wooden buttons which I just grabbed. The whole lot of them. They really add a good deal of charm.

So there you go another card with bare minimum supplies :)

Your comments are really important to me. So let me know how you feel.

Grandma's Recipe!!

Card Design: #A0001  Selling for: Rs.250/- (Exclusive of delivery charges)

Hello Everyone!

My grandmother's birthday is round the corner; and what better way to surprise her than to post this card to her.  Had even wrote her a letter and stuffed in some cash in to help brighten up her day 😊.

You must be wondering whats that ribbon on the top for. I hope my grandmother figures that out! Now this is not your traditional one fold card. Yeah that's kind of boring right, though I've made quite a few of those kinds (you will see in my future posts). So this card opens like this:

TADA!!  😃

It comes out completely like this:

I call my grandmother Nana, in case you are wondering who Nana is :)

Here is how I made this. Hope it helps you to replicate this:

This card is compelety handmade. No cricuts, stamps, dies, punches... nothing at all.
I just cut out these flowers and leaves and just randomly pasted them onto a base.
The printed paper is easily available online.
You can see I have distressed the edges of my paper with Staz On Ink (Ganache).
Use beads and buttons to decorate.

Tip: Neatness counts. Great finishing leverages the beauty of your creation.

I hope you've liked this recipe.
As well as my Grandma. Stay tuned in and I will tell you how she liked it.
Also my next post is interesting as well.

Tell me how you've liked this.
